You guys are soooo sweet! I was beginning to think I had watched the wrong channel, wrong game. LOL
No secret I'm definitely a fan already. Thought he handled himself well for his first HSP televised game sitting with guys he admired and respected. Heard he's successful for a reason.....he's super smart and a self-made man. Remember that the editing set the stage.
You did great, Tiger....I mean, Son....I mean, BB! LOL

gotta hate Hellmuth calling out Phil Laak's AJ

FYP. What a dick move. If someone called out his hand while the hand was in progress we'd never hear the end of it. Then again, Laak's shot one too many angles for me to be sympathetic towards him either. Where I play, if you angleshoot, you're not invited back unless you're a big donator.

Laak is a huge nit, a jerk rules-nit, and an angle shooter. Just about the worst possible guy to have at a table. Oh, and his table talk is very not funny and annoying. I guess on the plus side he does know how to grind profit poker and he doesn't berate the fishes.

I found the episode pretty boring. Most of the time some people were talking stuff i couldn't understand while waiting for Brandon to decide whether to call or to reraise with his trash hand.
And Hellmuth's river bet was just perfect. At least it accomplished embarassing Brandon for not raising it after he hit his miracle card.

I don't believe that Hellmuth is happy about that $2,500 bet even though he defends it. When the 7 hit, his gut reaction was that he was beat. He even said something like "not a seven" when it hit. Brandon's flat call was ridiculous.

Why did Laak fold that flush draw? Does he know it's a cash game?

The difference between good player and great player....

flop: Q/x/10
turn: /9

Todd mucked KQ and saved a bet on the turn
FLA Antonio called the turn w/ QJ

*** Antonio turned nut staright ****

[/ QUOTE ]

You could also make the argument that Todd should've raised the flop and make Antonio pay to draw.

[/ QUOTE ]

I forget exactly how the hand played out, but I think it was 3-handed on the flop. Keeping the pot small here with a medium strength hand outweighed charging any draws. I thought Todd played the hand very well.
