Free SD

In a previous hand villain donked 53 high FD on AQx, called a raise and donked the river when he hit, but didn't 3 bet my raise. Re: Free SD
I don't like it. paying 3 bets to see the river with our FD would suck and I really doubt a player with those stats is going to fold a better hand in a blind battle when such an obvious scare card drops

Re: Free SD
There really is no reason to raise the turn unless youre convinced this guy will fold 6x. If you have the best hand on the turn, and the villain doesnt have a spade in his hand, then he will have 4 outs to beat you. (I realize if the villain had a broadway gutshot with no spade, he would have 7 outs but judging from his stats he would probably raise preflop with this hand type) Getting a 4 outer to fold isnt worth the trouble here when you take into account that this is the exact type of hand, a 5 high flushdraw, that doesnt want to face a 3bet. Of course if you strongly believe that this guy will fold 6x then we have a story here. I suspect that he wont make this fold but only you know for sure.
I'd also like to make one other point. Once you raise the turn, I would still bet a non spade K/Q/T river. IMO, The pot will be big enough combined with the fact that those cards are unlikely to hit the villain, to make one last ditch effort to get 6x to fold worth it. Isnt spewing fun? |

Re: Free SD
Is 45 his WTSD? Based on his stats in general, I don't think you can blow this guy off a six. I would just call and then re-eval on the river. You probably get a free SD anyway against a 6. and you have a FD that will make it hard to fold if 3bet ("well, he probably has two pair or a set since he 3bet me, so my FD is probably good").If that happens, the pot will be huge at the river and you might find yourself wanting to call anyway.
This play would be better against some 30/20/2.0 38wtsd TAG , but only if the turn hadn't been a [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. |

Re: Free SD
This isn't great, his flop donk is likely a 6 or flush draw, both of which you are behind. I don't this he is folding a 6 here, ever. Maybbbbbbe if you fire the river too he might, especially if it's something ugly like a King. But given the size of the pot, that's a spew. I'd just call, hope to improve, or that he gives up with air/ a 2 some of the time. Folding the turn is better than raising.
Btw u shouldn't in generally be free showdown raising unless you are intending to call a blank river, and doing so here would be -EV imo, another argument against putting (at least) 2 bets in here. |

Re: Free SD
I think a 2 is alot more likely than a 6, since even fishes know 2nd pair is a big flop in a blind war. Raise is still bad though considering your flush draw.
