Default NL MVP Field Bet

I have a local who has the following lines for the NL MVP:

+500 Pujols
+300 Utley
+500 Chipper
+600 David Wright
+1000 Dmitri Young
+300 Edgar Renteria
+1500 Hanley Ramirez
+300 Holliday
+2000 Miggy Cabrera
+300 Field

I figure that since the field includes Prince, Ryan Howard, Jose Reyes, this field bet has to have value. Agree/disagree?

Thanks. Good luck all,

hd

Yeah these lines are pretty hilarious. They discount Hanley and Cabrera for being on a bad team yet have Dmitri Young even considered. Renteria as the favorite is ridiculous.

The field bet isn't bad with Prince and Reyes.

wow...def a weak year for nl MVP. I Dont think Utley will win cause he just missed way to many games. Although, he is so good and i think he has some future MVP's in his future. I kinda like David Wright there at 6-1. He is quietly having a great year. After a slow start, he really has become the most consistant Player in the lineup. He is hitting 326, on pace for 30 plus homers 110 plus rbis maybe 30 steals 100 plus walks. PLus plays good defense. So id take wright at 6-1 followed by the field

One-sided futures bets usually suck. In this case, all of the bets sum to 168%. That's a lot of juice. It's going to be very difficult to find any value. I'd stay away.
