Re: BlockBuster or NetFlix?
Blockbuster has an organization that edits certain films if they feel the content is too mature, so Netflix.

Re: BlockBuster or NetFlix?
if you have a blockbuster near you that participates in the in-store exchange program it's a no-brainer for blockbuster. if not i don't know.

Re: BlockBuster or NetFlix?
Here's a crazy idea. THey both offer two week trials. Do one, then cancel. Do the other. Then decide which one is best for you. Since its free, do the max DVDs at a time. You get a month free this way and you get to try each out for speed of delivery, in-store options, selection, etc.
I apologize if I just blew your mind with my sudden attack of common sense. |

[/ QUOTE ] I've heard BB is starting to limit the amount of titles you can do this with. [/ QUOTE ] It now costs a lot more to get unlimited in-store returns. I was going to down my rental from 3 out at a time to 1 or 2, but it actually costs MORE for me to downgrade and keep the unlimited in store option. The two week trial is good, but remember thats the BEST you'll have it. I'm clearly being throttled by Blockbuster now and not getting movies as fast as I used to. I've had 2 incorrectly sent discs (sent the wrong disc of a TV show). The in-store return is nice, but I've gotten burned on that. They claimed that I owed $100+ for 2 discs I turned in. I found them in the store (fortunately TV shows they only had 1 copy of), and asked them why they were on the shelves if I never returned them. Blank stare. They then had the nerve to try to charge me a restocking fee for this. I've had several DVDs scratched from BB, including watching American History X where it jumped at one of the most dramatic scenes to the ending with no warning. |

Netflix, not close. [/ QUOTE ] Hey, thanks for explaining your reasoning. I don't have either, but every review I hear is that BB is the more convenient option (in store returns), while Netflix is just a better company to do business with. BB is known to be a huge scumbag company with [censored] customer service -- there are lot of stories about them trying to squeeze every dollar out of the customer. Netflix, on the other hand, are generally known as a "good guy" company, and customer satisfaction tends to be high. |
