Default Over-aggression or cold-deck?

7 left in a 9 person S&G on Full Tilt. Hand Converter not working for me right now.

Villain has 1925 chips, I have 2830. Blinds are 50 - 100. No reads.

I'm dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] under the gun...

i)Your action?

I raised to 250.

Should I have mucked ATo under the gun? Was the raise to small (2.5 x bb) ?

Villain calls in the cutoff, the big blind also calls.

Flop (800, 3 players)

9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

The big blind checks.

ii) Hero?

I chose to make my standard continuation bet of half the pot.

Hero bets 400, Villain calls, BB folds.

Is there any way of putting villain on any hand here? He has given away pretty much nothing by just calling preflop and flat calling on the flop.

Turn (1200, 2 players)

T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

My opponent has 1275 chips left, I have him covered.

iii) Hero?

I chose to put villain all-in by betting out 1275, the size of his stack, which was almost exactly the pot size.

So... was this hand standard? Results below (highlight to read):

Villain showed JJ, and I was drawing to 5 outs (ace or a ten). River was a K, I missed, and was basically crippled, when I had been 2nd at the start of the hand. Was this standard, and I had to double him up? It basically cost me my tourney life, so I figure I should find out if I made any mistakes.

Surely fold ATo preflop UTG 7-handed. As played, I'm checking the turn.

Easy fold preflop.

Raising ATo UTG 7 handed can not be good.

Yep, fold ATo UTG, especially as:

1. you have a stack of over 28BB and are way ahead of average - no need to risk anything.

2. although you have TP, its only an average pair.

As played, I might have bet more on the flop, because your pair is relatively weak and there's a possible straight draw on the board. When he calls, check the turn.
