UTG is regular, 15/7 over 1.2k hands, seemed like a predictable player
when he called flop cbet i put him on AA, KK or AK when he called turn i was pretty sure he had AK (now that i think about it the turn bet seems unnecessary) PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) SB ($39.05) BB ($59.55) UTG ($55.75) Hero ($52.45) Button ($12.55) Preflop: Hero is MP with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG raises to $2.5, Hero raises to $6, 3 folds, UTG calls $3.50. Can he fold a set? He can have AdKx, AxKx, AdAh, or KxKx. I don't like the play myself, I don't think he's weak I think he's baiting you.

Hmm.
Preflop: I like. Flop: I like. Turn: I like -- and I think the turn bet is absolutely necessary to prevent him from hanging around with hands like QQ with the Qd or Ax with the Ad. River: I don't think he has a set. I think you'd see a lot more action out of him on the flop with AA, KK, 77, or 55, since he doesn't have a diamond and that's a scary board with no diamonds. If he is 'predictable' as you say his he's shoving the A-d and possibly the Q-d for value, in my opinion. So there's 7 left that he can have, and you beat anything else (again, assuming no set). So if you have a strong belief that he'll lay down a lower flush, shove. If not, check the river, as you have some showdown value against hands like A7, KQ, KJ, etc. If it's me I'm checking, but depending on feel I could be convinced that a shove is the right play. Do you have any history with him? |
