Bummer that you only get five minutes to delete a post, huh?

Not at all. I expected there would be two camps. I'm torn myself, that's why I posed the question. The responses I received from Pokerbob, et al, I expected. Some were funny, most were tedious. But the others more than make up for the flaming.

[ QUOTE ]
How so? Honest question. You implied in your post that the guy was thrown out for his outburst. So you can't have made more money from him. Did others start giving you excessive respect or something?

[/ QUOTE ]

For a while I got a lot more action. And though I can't speak for the players' motivations, the angry/annoyed responses this post has elicited, lead me to believe they were trying to felt me out of anger. If true, they played less than optimally.

[ QUOTE ]
But just because you're at a poker table doesn't give you a free pass to be a dick.

[/ QUOTE ]

Agreed and I'm not. I was looking for edge. If I tilt a player, a table or some players thereof, with a [censored] move and in doing so cause them to play less well than they would, have I not created an edge? That said, being an ass for an extended period of time makes for a miserable experience and is counter-productive.

Thanks for the responses. I’m still undecided.

I have a question for the guys saying he was a dick, etc. Are you saying he was a dick for [ ]lying [X]laughing [ ]slowrolling (which the post doesn't say he did).

Dude, the other guy threatened physical violence. I don't think laughing at him is out of order.

[/ QUOTE ]

With one marginal exception I've virtually never been threatened with physical violence in 23 years of poker? Am I doing something wrong?

PS It's not because I'm intimidating. I'm tall but sort of have the physique of a pencil necked geek.

Rick: Don't you know the goal is to induce threats of violence? Try harder.
