[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Only William Regal and King Booker are remotely surprising. [/ QUOTE ] I don't watch wrestling anymore, but I watched Summerslam at a friends house and I was shocked at how cut Booker was at his age. [/ QUOTE ] Booker T is the F'ing man Kinda NSFW [/ QUOTE ] One of the worst things that happened when WCW was bought by WWE was just about destroying Booker Ts career. |

Mets, he broke his back in three places. The fact he wrestled again was surprising.
Matt, almost everyone who was from WCW had a crappy WWE career at first/forever. Booker, DDP, Steiner, Big Show, etc.... |

[/ QUOTE ] Does that include Steve Austin, HHH, Underatker, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, and Chris Jerico? A former WCW wrestler (or two) were in the main event at WrestleMania in 10 of the last 12 years. I believe Flair lost his weight before he joined the mid-Atlantic area and before his plane crash. |

[/ QUOTE ] At first in WWE Austin was "The Ringmaster" and would have been stuck in the midcard if not for Austin 3:16 and Triple H getting buried for the MSG incident , Triple H was Hunter Hearst Helmsley for 4 years, Undertaker probably is the leader of making a crappy gimmick actually work. In WCW Austin was a midcarder, HHH was only there a year, ditto Undertaker. It took Eddie 4 years to win the title (bulked up by then), Benoit (a former WCW Champ) didn't win a top title until 4 years in (the B title of the top 3), and 3 years for Jericho. Since WM14, only one ME was won by a WCW star-Benoit. Austin and HHH shouldn't count since they weren't that big in WCW. Look at Flair's first WWF run, he won the title twice and held it for four months total and lost it at a house show. Anyways, tonight/tommorow/and Friday we'll see who got suspended. (I've read the spoilers already, it's obvious who did and did not get suspended it seems) |

The fact that they became two of the WWE's biggest stars is very strong evidence that this supposed prejudice against former WCW workers is just a myth. [/ QUOTE ] DDP (3x), The Big Show (2x), Flair (1 and 8x), Vader (3x), Ron Simmons, Booker T(5x), and Goldberg all came to the WWE as former WCW Heavyweight Champions. DDP ended up as a stalker and lost to Undertaker's wife in a match. Big Show had the title twice for four months. Flair held the WWE title twice in the early 90's. Vader won nothing in WWE. Ron Simmons came to the WWE as a gladiator, and won the tag titles a couple of times. Booker's held the Smackdown title once and was crushed by HHH at WM19. (HHH basically said "You're a joke and a con. No black guy will win this title." And he beat Booker with ONE pedigree (Every other top match at WM19 took 2+ finishers.) Goldberg won the Smackdown title for two months. I don't consider Austin and HHH real WCW superstars since HHH didn't do anything in WCW (there one year and never really did anything) Austin did win the US title twice, but that's about it. |

Re: WWE suspends 10 wrestlers for violating drug policy
I was just making a comment because Booker was the one of the few things that was good in WCW before the merger. Also Dynasty,Jack I think there's a huge difference between the guys that Vince plucked before the ship sank and those who were brought over.
