Re: 4-bet bluffing preflop. need some math here :)

[ QUOTE ] Against a calling-range of { 99+, AQ+ } you need over 56% FE which would mean he has to 3-bet atleast ~90 other hand combinations to make this re-steal profitable. [/ QUOTE ] Villian is not going to 4 bet fold 99-TT, AQ. He will either smooth call or 4 bet call. I don´t really think villians calling range is that wide. It could be like AQ+ JJ+, but you would know better, since you´re the villian, right? [/ QUOTE ] |

LOL, i love this move to get lucky on a flop. Not going to make re raiser fold here imo. Iam guessing he called with like KK or something, and you got lucky.

Re: 4-bet bluffing preflop. need some math here :)
This is a pretty good move IMO. The preflop 3 bettor can't really call with much here, so if you suspect that he is at all capable of folding JJ/QQ/AK here, solid play. As for the shortstack, it sucks a bit but he can't really call often enough to ruin the play.
As for your holding, this hand is a lot better than Ax to make this play with. |

[/ QUOTE ] this is inconsistent. assuming villain is capable of squeezing light here (good move, probably) is to assume he is never folding JJ/QQ/AK. if you suppose hes doing so, however, his range for doing this in the very first place is probably way too tight for us to be +EV. |
