VPIP too low, preflop suggestions needed
Hi All,
I have 99,510 total hands in poker tracker, and play mainly 3/6 which I have 47,817 hands. my VPIP is at 15.19, and VPISB is 17.38. Rest of stats is 2.18bb/100 and 9.12 PFR. I believe my VPIP is way too low, I'm probably playing too tight PF. I follow SSHE's tight games chart, I've tried the loose games chart but playing K9s and J9s in EP is kind of hard for me. I guess I want to know how to raise my VPIP, should I just follow the loose games preflop recommendations and learn to play that way, or which hands should I add onto the tight games recommendation? TIA. |

Re: VPIP too low, preflop suggestions needed
Isolate weak players.
Defend and steal the blinds more. I assume you are not make these type of plays: Raise with a lot in the SB after dude open limps on the button. Stuff like 66, KTs, A9o etc Raise with even more hands when you are the BB and the SB open completes. Add hands like Ax, any pair, any two broadway. Raise in late position with suited aces, KJo, and medium pairs when there is only one limper. You can make this play even in middle position - especially if the limper is a weak player. |

do you fold your blinds a lot? Try to find loose/passive tables where you can call with hands like 33, 44, and Axs.
get involved more in late position. It's really hard to tell without all your stats, but 15 seems pretty low. |
