Re: Question about daily variance
[ QUOTE ]
I find I go up 3-4, down 3-4 fairly regularly and quickly. You have to also remember near the end of a 4k+ session your brain isnt going to be nearly as sharp as it should be, causing swings. [/ QUOTE ]This would be my answer as well. Though I start getting tired at around 2500 hands. Biggest swing I've had in a day since I started playing full ring again two months ago is 4.5 in 800 hands. Could've been more but I quit after seeing that. It really depends how aggressive you are as well. If you play 12/4 you won't have as much variance as somebody who plays 16/11. |

Re: Question about daily variance
I recently had a day down 10 buy ins then back up 10 buy ins to break even. I made about 4 big blinds in 5K hands. That was short stacking, though. Plus or minus 3-5 buy ins is pretty standard for a high volume day. Hopefully more on the plus side.

Re: Question about daily variance
Lost 6 BI's over 3k hands yesterday at $200NL on FTP. I was running at 7PTBB over 25k hands before that.
5x Set over Set (lol@this happening over 3k hands) 2x KK vs AT on a T X X flop all in on flop(turn A LDO) To cap off my awesome day 77 vs A4 on a 7A4 flop, all in on flop(turn A again? wtf?) 400BB pot. Poker sure does [censored] suck when you run like [censored]. Worse day I've had for 3 months. I'm suprised I didn't lose more than 6 BI's with all those rigged hands. |

Re: Question about daily variance
I love the days when you feel like you got sucked out on a million times and pokerEV says you ran hot. Usually just because you shoved AA on the turn in a huge pot and caught an ace to beat a flopped set. Anyway, plus or minus 2 buyin swings within a session is average, I try to end on a 5 buyin upswing of course.
