Default NETeller and your personal information

From dablueguy at the NETeller Customer Coalition message board:

[ QUOTE ]
On July 30th, I sent Neteller the following e-mail: "Did you turn over any of my individual account details to the US Gov't or any branch thereof? Will you do so in the future?"

I just received a snail mail reply, dated August 16th, from Neteller's overseas office. I'm only including the relevant parts. The rest was just a recap of their press releases.

"As part of the USAO investigation and the development of the Distribution plan, Neteller has been compelled by law to produce certain information in it's possession to the Deputy High Bailiff in the Isle of Man as a result of the issuance of a Witness Summons to Neteller by the Deputy High Bailiff pursuant to a notice filed by the Attorney General for the Isle of Man under Section 21 of the Criminal Justice act 1991, following the submission of a request for assistance by the United States Department of Justice. Personal data has been demanded, including some of your personal data, which has been produced under compulsion of law.

Actually, personally, I expected this from reading NT press releases and the USAO agreement.

You will be OK if you reported income, if not, whoa it could be trouble.

Theres a big difference between "personal data has been demanded, including some of your personal data" (which makes no sense by the way)....and "we told them exactly to the penny how much you won and / or lost".

But of course, if you paid your taxes it doesnt matter.

Neteller has no way of knowing how much you won or lost. They can only divulge how much was transferred to and from sites using Neteller. This would not take into accout money deposited or withdrawn via other methods or transferred between players on a site.
