When does this data policy start effecting sharkscope?

No, PS is going to block them from using PokerStars. It wouldn't take much detective work to figure out the IP address SharkScope is using and just block them out. That's the threat if they don't comply. Also their accounts would be subject to closure.

And before you say it would be easy to keep switching proxy servers and IP addresses, think about whether you would really want to spend your time playing cat and mouse with PS security. I wouldn't, but then again I don't know how much this move is going to hurt SS.

Naa no argument with you -- didn't think it through myself -- I think you are right -- which sucks because I really do use SS a good bit.

To be honest, I hope SS refuses to comply and continues tracking as they have been. (I keep an extra laptop nearby anyway.) But I'm not sure that's what they're going to do. Having SS with only the players who want to be looked up doesn't really sound too helpful.
