Default Govt bans metal bats

linky

Do they know no bounds? The government has decided to step in and tell the high school baseball teams what kind of bats they can use. In all seriously, who could possibly believe that this is the proper role of government?

Correct me if I am wrong...but isn't public school a government institution controlled by the national government?

Next up, baggy pants.

http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/metro/a...age_tab_newstab

Mayor Quimby:
Er, um...we have introduced a new tax on wearing puffy director pants.

Movie Director:
But I don't wear puffy pants!

Quimby:
Er, um...then I mean a new tax on not wearing puffy pants.

The city government can tell public high schools what to do if they want to, especially with regards to safety issues.

I don't understand the hullabo. The city council passed the ban. A local government made the decision. The federal government upheld the rulling. If people there aren't happy with it, they have themselves to blame for electing their local reps.

This is false. A vote is not a contract. There is no arrangement made whatsoever.
