General question
Lets say you're in a 3-way pot with 5678, and flop comes down 66T.. you bet pot from early pos, and is faced with looks like a semi protective value raise.. Is this a general instafold?

Re: General question
Why would you bet this in early position after the flop? If your opponent doesnt have t6xx or ttxx you have 13 outs against all other 6xxx hands. TTxx probably wont do a raise on this flop, and t6 is an unlikely holding but possible in an AAt6. If the raiser has any trip 6 other than a6xx you have fold equity in addition to 13 outs for a flop reraise.

Re: General question
My point was more, why would someone be overprotective with flopped t6, especially with qjt6 type holdings? Given the villian has position on you he wouldnt be nearly as scared of K or A.
In an unraised pot, if hero bets from BB I would instafold to a raise because t6xx is more likely to play quickly in a pot that has not been raised, and its much harder to know our bad cards in an unraised pot. |

Re: General question
I think it's standard to bet, and standard to fold to a raise.
really your bet is almost a bluff, it's just that not many cards are left in the deck for people to call/raise with, so it will work often. |
