And here are your updated Playoff Standings.

First, the Consolation Standings. Siegmund rides back-to-back Top 10's into the lead, but there are four players within 10 points of the lead. FWIW, Siegmund's 94.5 would be in 4th overall as well (if you take out the regular season points for the Championship guys) - quite impressive. eurythmech has been consistent as well, but hasn't cracked the Top 3 yet. I think back to Week 12 when he was in contention til the last question in the play-in game. What could have been... bojtun's second place puts him in 3rd overall, and Hogie takes a nice 5th place finish and jumps up to 4th. traz turned in a more "traz-like" performance this week [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img], but remains in the Top 10.

And what a battle for the Championship! Seems like you need to put up Top 10's just to stay in contention, huh? Patton4 goes perfect, but it's only good enough for 2nd overall, and jjp puts up his second straight Top 3. There's getting to be a bit of separation here too - I think the Top 12 are all still in OK shape with 3 weeks left, but anyone below that best put up a Top 2 finish next week to have much hope. Last week, I said it was probably too early to call jjp the favorite, but now he might be. Still wide open though. Lot of points to be had. Next week's the one where you want to get yourself into good position for the stretch run in Weeks 4 and 5.


Top 3 Questions going into Week 3:

1. Can Iron_Yuppie put up a big score and contend? Our favorite coming into this has been awfully quiet. Same for Alex Jacob, who was getting pretty confident towards the end of the regular season. Neither are out of it by any means, but both have work to do.

2. Can jjp keep up his torrid pace? He only had 3 Top-15's in the regular season, so this is a bit out of nowhere. Good time to do it though.

3. Will dmk ever pass OldTimey? [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

You are thinking of foie gras (bloated goose liver). Caviar is fish eggs. No big deal in Cali.

I actually have 200g of caviar in the fridge in France. I'd much rather resell it (300 Euro I think) than eat it though :P
