chinese poker tournament structure thoughts

i play a little bit of a variation on western and eastern chinese where i award royalties of just 1 point for front being 3 of a kind , middle a full house or better, and back being 4 of akind or better. if you win 2 of 3 you get an extra point. how many hands or how long sho0uld the levels be? i like doing the levels by # of hands. how many units should each player start out with? what should the levels be? i was doing starting out with 25 units and levels being 1-2-3-4 etc but id like a more complex structure. any thoughts?
