Re: TP/TK turned into river bluff c/r
Not sure I'm understanding - you're checking the flop hoping your backdoor flush draw turns into the nut flush?
If that's the case, why aren't you betting on the turn where you are likely best and no longer have the flush possibility? |

Re: TP/TK turned into river bluff c/r
no because I had Ad I have little to no worry about him being on the FD, since most of raising hands after 2 limpers to be suited in diamonds would almost always have A in them

[/ QUOTE ] These are the ones that keep me guessing. A standard 3X raise after a limper or two is either a monster who doesn't want to 'scare people away' by accounting for the limper or some random donk that is completely lost. More often I read it as the lost idiot and this usually results in me looking for a reason to shove over this type of raise with almost any two. Anyone else have this problem? |

Re: TP/TK turned into river bluff c/r
Shaun,
I see your logic here and it's a pretty sexy play against a good, thinking opponent OR against an opponent's whose bet sizes you are able to accurately identify. However, on this particular board against this players bets, you really have to ask what his motivation is here? Could he hit a set of jacks and pretended to play insecure? Could he have been trying for a "pot sweetener" with this bet. Usually, that 3xbb raise means QQ+ or a totally retarted sweetner. Either way, the play sucks and if that is the case, so will his decision on the river, even with only an overpair. I think this is too risky. |

Re: TP/TK turned into river bluff c/r
barry this was a good hand to represent the concept even though it wasn't the best spot but I still think shoving is better then calling but folding is best. This board came bad I was pissed about that and tried too hard to force this spot.
