Preflop play deepstacked
Let's say we are 250 BB deep, villain is a standard TAG and he covers. We are holding a premium hand like QQ+/AK. We have position on him and he opens for a 4 BB standard raise. Standard re-raise with 100 BB deep would be about 10 BB more to give him bad odds to call with small PP/SC.
How do we adjust our preflop raises regarding the stack sizes? Is it reasonable to re-raise to lets say 22 BB more to protect our stack or do you think it is more about post-flop play with such deep stacks? |

Re: Preflop play deepstacked
No, don't raise to 22BB (unless villain will still call with scs). You have position, use it for pot control if the board gets tricky.
With QQ-AA you want him to call your raise, and you lose value if you make him fold hands you are ahead of. |
