PS 60: Level 5, QQ on the button
CO is a winning regular, blinds are both losing players. The only hands this regular would ever limp here, with stack sizes the way they are, would be AA or KK. Is folding here a ridiculous play? or do I just need to push and curse my luck when he shows aces?

You can't do anything else than shoving unless 99% confident of your read.

Re: PS 60: Level 5, QQ on the button
when a winning regular limps 9 bb ug L7 it looks a lot like AA/KK.
idk, this co limp does not look that much like AA KK to me. he can just raise AA/KK 375 and conceal the strength of his hand from co and get someone to show over him loose. plus limping could give the blinds free cards. i shove all day and would not expect to see AA/KK. |

Re: PS 60: Level 5, QQ on the button
lj,
i pushed and he had aces. not sure if you remember a hand between us a few weeks back. you limped utg level 4 with like 11xbb, 2 more limpers, i pushed with 450 in pot for 12xbb with AQo or AQs and you knocked me out. looking back i played the hand pretty bad as the only hand you'll limp with in that spot is AA or KK. so, in that spot, if a winning regular limps UTG, what's the maximum you'd fold? AKs? jacks? |

[/ QUOTE ] oh, yeah, i do remember that one. ug is worth an ocassional limp, especially at the right table. i guess if you are very confident i have AA or KK in that spot fold even QQ and AKs. but sometimes with 12 bb i can mix in a limp with AQo or 99, so hard to pinpoint my exacat range. and other will sometimes limp/fold 12 bb from EP. i do agree that was not a great spot for you to push. i still like a push in the hand you posted. it is hard to put a limper in that spot on AA or KK. even the solid regulars mix it up a bit. the only player i ever for sure knew had QQ+ when he limped L5L6 with 11 bb's from ep was poker_in_pb. he would never raise, he ALWAYS limped it, and would never limp anything else. |

Tough to say w/o a name but it's an easy fold against some guys. It's even an easy fold with KK.

[/ QUOTE ] i dont think you could ever have a large enough sample vs anyone to fold KK. i guess i can see folding QQ if you thought your read was great. i forget the term but this could be a co/action/suzzer/limp whatever you call it. lol i just limped KK from co L6 with 8.5 bb's and stacked 97 on JJ7 flop as i was typing... |
