Heh heh, cap the turn.

You are correct though, in that there are some reasonable players who play at these stakes.

Last year around this time I started with 12 bucks and a dream. Slaughtered my way through .02/.04 and .05/.10 in about 2 months. I'm a 1/2 regular now.

Cool. When looking at this hand, I actually thought I had capped and was surprised I didn't. It's good to hear that no one is really advocating slowing down.

Here's the River action. I'll post results soon.

River: (36 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, BB bets, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, Hero raises, SB calls, BB 3-bets, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, Hero calls, SB calls.

Final Pot: 51 BB

Anyone cap on the River? Again, I'm surprised I didn't. Maybe I'm psychic.

Can you answer your own question now? You are 80% favourite to win the hand, and you are contributing 20% of the money. Do you cap you do you not?

[/ QUOTE ]

this range is slightly ridiculous

you do not have a read that villain is a maniac ... this guy has only raise a few hands since he has been at this table ... and in this spot villain cold-3bet from BB (and has not slowed down)
it's more like, AA, KK, AK, KQ (perhaps AJ, AT, JT inspades - but you must consider the likelyhood of these after a cold-3bet from villain) ... nothing less

as for the rest of the field ... someone has a flush draw almost always (not a random hand) ... perhaps some also has a straight draw (oesd, or gs) ...

you must factor these into your equation ...

I still think the turn might be a cap (i most likely do in a game, if I know the rest fo field somewhat) ... anyways, factor in some realistic ranges (instead of random hands) in and see what you get

Results:

BB has Kd Kh (three of a kind, kings).
MP1 has Ad Ah (one pair, aces).
MP2 has 6c 6d (one pair, sixes).
Hero has Qd Qc (three of a kind, queens).
SB has 5s Ks (one pair, kings).
Outcome: BB wins 51 BB.

You might have guessed. MP1 and MP2s play is how we make our money.
