Collusion in SNGs at Pokerroom
Hi all,
I've been playing until recently some Single table SNGs to work on my endgame and with the help of an ICM calculator. My actual game is weekly $50 MTT with about 100 runners at a local poker room and I thought it could help with that if/when I actually make it deep. Anyway two guys (or girls shouldn't presume) colluded against me. I was suspicious of there actions when we were three way and when I went out and one called all-in the very next hand with 72 the alarm bells went off. Starting checking the find player option on them for next few hours and they were sitting in the same SNG every time. Not because of multi-tabling either. Rang support and got them to admit on the phone that these players were colluding, but they would not close the players down. Anyway I know the sites say they have "sophisticated" software to spot collusion, but this seems pretty simple to spot so why was it missed? And once alerted and acknowledged why isn't problem acted upon? Have others experienced collusion as blatant as this at Pokerroom.com or elsewhere? Is there safer sights or should I opt out entirely? |

Whatever you do, don't report them, and make sure to keep us updated on your decision not to.
Okay, all joking aside... play at pokerstars. |

I was playing at 10+1. The colluders were jumping all over the levels from $5-$20 when I was watching.

Without saying it I was trying to say I wouldn't keep playing at a place that acknowledges something is probably going on but won't do anything about it.
Hope that either changes for you or you look into playing elsewhere. Good luck. |

[/ QUOTE ] obviously this is massively retarded by the site. pokerstars is widely acknowledged as the best site to deal with colluders - there are quite a few posts on here and in the STT forum about emails that people receive refunding them money confiscated from colluders. |

Re: Collusion in SNGs at Pokerroom
there was a thread in bbv awhile ago about 10k being chipdumped at a 100nl table for hours straight.
this struck me as noteworthy because such an event would be so far off the normal curve so as to be picked up rather quickly by any site running any form of reasonable server side verification. or maybe the OP made it up. i doubt it. |

It seems quite clear that the network skins would be less inclined to care about behavior outside of their T&C's than the independent operators
