Esquire, GQ, Slam, and the record digger in me reads Wax Poetics whenever I get the chance.

Here are the only magazines I read:

Fortune
Money
Consumer Reports (online)

I had Business Week, but didn't care for it. I also had Maxim and Playboy for several years, but they got old.

do not get any mags from mags4less.com, Ive ordered tons and tons of stuff over the net, and this is the only place that has ever screwed me. Odd thing is, I still get emails (after about a year and a half) saying that my refund is on the way.

Anyone know much about Vice Magazine? It's mostly targeted towards 18-25 year olds and touches on all kinds of different kinds of culture (fashion, music, art, lifestyle in general, really broad scope) as well as a really informal take on current events. I've only picked up one issue but I really enjoyed it, would love to see if there are any dedicated readers here. Check it out at www.viceland.com

I used to subscribe to Scientific American, but as I get more involved in postsecondary science the more I realize that it's really geared towards the average joe that knows a little, but not much beyond high school level science. I've heard very good things about Science magazine though.

It's a magazine on neo-conservatism, which fits neatly with my world view and values.

Many people do this and I don't understand. I'd rather read stuff that doesn't fit neatly with my world-view

vice is awesome, it's a bit trendy and wanky like pitchfork is for music online but so goddamn harsh that it gets away with it. it's free and available around the world but only really in uber-fashionable shops.

the vice books (guide to sex drugs and rock'n'roll, book of "do"s and "dont"s) are really awesome, definitely worth seeking out

magazines i subscribe to:

ESPN the Magazine - just because

Newsweek - since I don't watch TV news anymore, this helps me keep up with current events

Wired - Great magazine...reminds me of the late great, Omni.

Architectural Digest - Really handsome magazine, with fantastic photo spreads of exteriors and interiors I can only hope of owning one day!

Entertainment Weekly - Gotta have my disposable culture fix

Blender - underrated music magazine...very good with today's indie scene.

Stuff - I have no idea why this comes to my house. It sucks.

Is the consensus that Newsweek is better than Time or US News & World Report? I want something that will keep me sorta up to date with current news and I find reading magazines more enjoyable than reading the newspaper.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Robb Report... it always reminds me what is truly important in life (the green grass on the other side)...Also Fast Company has always impressed me with their consistency of quality articles/interviews
