OK, I agree, the line sounds a little weird but think about it, who in poker is genuinely cool. Ivey certainly seems to be, for my money Antonio certainly is

Antonio Esfandiari is the definition of a poser.

As Kuelk stated, Nelly does play often at Harrahs and it usually is on Monday nights, lately. He mostly plays in the uncapped 5-10 when it is running. The ballers in that game get around the two hour rule by bringing stacks of pumpkins to buy in with instead of cash.

As far as his manager, his name is Tony Davis- but he is not the guy that comes with him to Harrahs. That guy is one of Nelly's good friends since junior high school. His name is Topher (Chistopher, actually) and he pretty much IS broke. He somewhat acts as Nelly's assistant but not in an official, highly paid capacity.

from his blog...

"A game spontaneously started in one of the rooms at about 3.30am and by all reports it was a very good one. I walked in at 10am and it was down to 3 people…. Antonio Estfandiari, Phil Laak, and Nelly. As I write this, it seems crazier than it did at the time…. I mean, it was Phil, Antonio, and Nelly. Nelly is far smoother than any poker player could ever hope to be, and he’s somehow a master with chips."

WTF does this last sentence mean?

I'm lazy and don't feel like searching but Sklansky played with Nelly recently and posted about it. If i remember correctly Sklansky said something along the lines of Nelly's arm candy smiling at him. And that he gave Nelly one his books. Also, that Nelly is pretty good and is capable of making big lay downs on the river.

played 5-10nl with Nelly at the Bellagio and didn't realize it until later, I figured the guy was a rapper or something because he had an ostentatious platinum chain with a huge pendant and kept buying in $300 at a time off of a huge stack of SUPER crisp hundreds, and then literally getting all in like every 2 or 3 hands

didn't figure out it was him until my friend told me who it was when we were leaving (she asked him for an autograph later, but she could'nt find anything to write on (I suggested one of those hundys he had but don't think he heard) ended up taking a pic on her cell phone with him, which was cool because if I was stuck 4-5K I would have told her to [censored] off after not having any paper to write on

anyways in the game he never really got a stack going, and it was mainly myself and another kid picking him off pot after pot, people starting getting crazy -one guy shoving over him preflop with TJ (which he called with A9 and won)we played all night till like 8 in the morning at which point I had to leave for a wedding, and the whole table was bent when I got up because the game broke

Nelly went to the 10-20nl after that, this was in june last year. Heh, I can only assume Esfandiari and Laak were doing him the same way - must be nice
