Default Wireless stopped working. I\'m not to good w/this

Hi,
Increased the memory of my kids puter. As soon as I did that(great new speed, yeh)I turn computer back on. But now there is no internet connection and can't seem to get it back.

Should I uninstall and reinstall the Dlink software. Never have had an issue before, but can't seem to figure this one out.
BTW this is the remote computer, so only a USB wireless connector. Maybe the router went bad?

Any help appreciated

Wow, I was just about to post this...

I put more RAM in my comp and then my wireless exists but goes super slow even though it has full signal @ 54mbps.

Can you be a little more specific about this? Is the hardware listed in the device list? Do you get an IP from the router? Can you ping the router?

The hardware is listed. But I'm not sure on the IP from the router. I will check when I get home.

The USB connector is not showing any type of signal at all, so I'm not sure if it will ping.

I thought maybe the router went suddenly bad. (Dlink Only 1 1/4 yrs old)

Is the USB wireless connector properly seated? Did it get knocked around when you were installing the memory?

Ugh Found problem. Kids must have stepped on USB connector.
Cracked in a few places on underside.

Leave it to a 5 yr old I guess.
Thanks forthe help
