Button is a tough solid reg, with a wide raising range, but have not seen him 3 bet in position much ..if at all.

What to do????

IMO the better the player, the better it is to 4bet/call a shove

If he just calls my 4 bet...im in a bad spot with an A or K on flop and still not too confident if no A or K comes. Is this too weak?

extremely player/image/history dependent. you have to make this decision for yourself.

Like BT2 says, there is no right answer. How does he view you? How many hands have you played against him and how many 3bets does he have? If you smooth call, you're out of position against a good player no matter what comes on the flop. If you 4bet and he smooth calls same thing. If you 4bet and he moves all in, not in good shape either.

Personally with the limited amount of info you have, I'd 4bet here. He could think you're stealing from the cutoff, plus you get a lot more information than just smooth calling.

LOL Grand, you're always wanting to find out screen names but whenever someone asks for yours you never answer the post. Although as much as you play 2/4 and you're general stats, I'm sure most can figure out eventually. But yes, BT2, who is the tough reg, maybe we can better answer the quesiton?!

My sn is no secret, Im pretty sure Ive never denied giving it out if someone's asked.

If I know villain's sn I can give probably give a better answer. As played my standard play is to just call given the information OP has given us.

I never said bt2 was tough, I simply asked as did Melon who the tough reg was. I have no idea if bt2 is tough or not.
