Frankly, minraises should close to never be an option, just far to weak in nearly every situation and here too.
Value bet on rive is standard IMO, with a flush he would ve raised somewhere along the hand.

lol at flop minraise

I don't think it is particulary wrong. Maybe he did it for some cheap information (like : "am I against a draw or a made hand?").

As played push on the turn, there's no point in giving huge odds to drawing hands: or you think you're far ahead or far behind -> push or check

EDIT: and yes, push the river. Many hands will call that won't beat a straight

[/ QUOTE ]

min raise here is terrible. It gives odds of almost 7-1 to the villain, and, as u point out yourself "there's no point in giving huge odds to drawing hands." Thats a mistake, it allows him to call with any hand. When we make mistakes we lose money, and when our opponents make mistakes we gain.
The pot was $25 after the donk bet, hero must shove and hope he is up against A of spades or a pair of jacks. Either that or he must fold on the flop.

So if after you min raise he pushes are you really folding?

[/ QUOTE ]

Let's see:

if the stacks go in on the flop pot will be around 70$, and if UTG shoves after our min raise it is something around 20$ for us to call.

Sure it is a metaphysical speculation, and I agree the minraise is at last doubtful, but with some sharp notes/reads on the V. I think a fold is possible.

[/ QUOTE ]You fold only needing 28% equity here? That's terrible even with reads.

PF - You've announced your hand loud and clear. Do you raise this much with anything else?

Flop - Don't bet like a sissy when everyone already knows you have AA

Turn - Oh geez. R U serious?
