I would like to hear a discussion on the relative advantages of using the aggression factor stat vs. the PAHUD aggression frequency stat. The aggression frequency is defined as the % of aggressive actions ( (bets+raises) / (bets+raises-calls-folds) ) post-flop. Of course aggression factor is ( (%Raise + %Bet) / %Call).
The problem with AF is that if a player just bets or folds he will look like a maniac, even if he bets once every 100 decisions and folds the rest. So aggression frequency looks like a better indicator of post-flop aggression. So, I'm leaning towards using aggression ferquency in my HUD rather than aggression factor. I would appreciate hearing others thoughts on this. I've also included a fun poll : |

Poll wasn't funny at all but I voted for aggression frequency. Reason being the already stated flaws that original AF suffers from.

For anyone who answered "both" could you describe what different meaning you attribute to each stat and how you use it to ascertain a player's "true" aggression?
