He's not gonna smooth call a dry flop with people left to act with AQ and suddenly go nuts on turn. This is set/2pair always. |

Re: AK Situation
I'm a bit of a fish still learning but just wondering raising 6 pre flop goes off the standard 3-4x the BB. I know 3-4 isn't the definate raise but you think because of the limpers, I should've raised more to get them out of the pot?
He had showed down a couple of poor hands and I would've expected him to quite possible call my pfr with AQ, although he may have had AJ or trips. |

[/ QUOTE ] Using the 4x + 1x per limper preflop, there were 2 limpers so a 'standard' raise is to 6x. When you only raise 2bb more, they can call with so many weak and dumb hands and their range is much wider if the call 5 more bb. And it's also more likely to get the pot HU. |

A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] has TP and two backdoor draws on the flop. He might think he is up against KK or QQ. And given the lousy pf raise, I'd call pf with this hand. Now the turn is TP and nut flush draw. A raise here would get hero thinking you like you guys are. |
