river fold
FTP 5/10 6 handed
BB is something like 27/17/1.9 over 2k hands MP is a total cs seeing more than 75% of the flops and peeling nearly 100% Hero is in sb with J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] MP calls, Hero completes, BB checks 3 sb: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero bets, BB raises, MP calls, Hero 3bets, BB calls, MP calls, 5.5 bb: K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero bets, BB raises, MP folds, Hero calls 8.5 bb: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero check/folds. I called the turn because it was a big pot and I habitually call the turn to make sure that aggressor isn't going for a free SD. Anyone call the river too or fold the turn or just call down from the flop? |

Re: river fold
This is seriously overplayed IMO.
If I was BB you were way behind on the flop already. The pot is tiny so you cant expect a good player to raise a worse hand for protection. The smaller a multiway pot the stronger a players range is when he raises. So I am not convinced 3-betting flop is good. But prolly not a big mistake 3-way. Turn call is spew. You get 8.5:1 so you need your 5 outs to be good. The problem is that BB has Kings up or better the vast majority of the time. Spew. River good. |

Re: river fold
MP the type to check through here? If not, I mostly c/r since you'll get 2 bets from MP, occasionally get an extra bet from BB, and prevent BB from easily getting a free card if that's what he's after. I wouldn't 3-bet the flop the way you played it. Turn is a fold too IMO.
