I loved the 40 YOV, loved Knocked Up, was very disappointed in Superbad.

my gf is in the same camp as me.

from the beginning scene in Superbad, which was basically

"[censored] [censored] [censored] dick [censored] [censored] dick [censored] taking [censored] dick dick" I knew the movie would be pretty dumb

It amazes me how many people either missed the point of Superbad (which shouldn't be that hard it isn't that complicated) or are more or less saying "Despite being exactly as advertised I hated it"

I don't think so. I take more convincing than usual to enjoy these films because I always assume they are just going to be dumb and unfunny beforehand (thought this about Superbad). This negative view of films like this is mainly because of the utter toss like Dodgeball and similar films.

Also, don't get all the hype about 40 year old Virgin, thought it was a pretty boring film in general and not that many laughs atall.

It was pretty good in hind site, had too high of expectations going in. Long stretches of unfunny [censored], but some lines that were funny were off the charts.

Still hilarious. I either completely forgot about some parts or missed them entirely the first time through.
