Default Maui Advice

I am headed to Maui in about a month. This will be my first visit. I have rented a condo near Lahaina so I am set on the room but I am looking for advice on good restaurants, activities and beaches that I shouldn't miss. I have checked Trip Advisor, etc. and places like that but would like any first hand knowledge. Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you can make it to the other side of the island (you'll probably need to rent a car) you should. Hana rocks.

As for restaurants, the only one that I can remember the name of that was awesome was Carelli's on the beach in Kihei.
