[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] nobody will be permabanned for anything anymore. [/ QUOTE ] you don't have to worry about that. Also the yves example is totally different...that was a problem poster that kept doing stupid [censored]. This is a good poster who did one unbelievably stupid thing and apologized for it and is willing to make nice. gw [/ QUOTE ] right.... my point is, a guy who you just described as a "problem poster that kept doing stupid [censored]" was given a basically unlimited number of chances. doesn't that say it's pretty damn hard to get permabanned, and therefore people can basically do anything they want? [/ QUOTE ] No he was certainly not given an unlimited number of chances...and even if he was given a lot of rope, Yves was the exception, not the rule and basically the last person of an era in bbv/bbv4l where after him we were a lot harsher vs. problem posters, learning from our (my) mistakes with yves and it has been working quite well. And yves has NOTHING to do with my decision whatsoever. Yes I am more likely to give people a second chance if they're a good poster who contributes to the forum. If you or El D want to take this to Mat or Ryan I have no problems with it and will not take offense. |

if something like this happened in a forum with more people who have jobs, i would say permaban for sure
i am right on the borderline of this, but i lean towards saying that it deserves a permaban no matter what, even though i like hutz and generally defer to gild on these things. |
