Default AKs flops big draw

assume 100 bb stacks

u raise AKs otb 4x, villain 3bets in the BB...

what size raise would u fold to? none? how often or vs which villains are u 4betting here and what would u 4bet to? what hands in most villains 3 betting range do we expect to 3bet and fold to a push, QQ AK AQ? answer that using examples player profiles (lag tag ect) or PT stats if ud like, that would probably be helpful.

if u just call, the flops JTx QTx (any difference in ur midn here?) with 2 of your suit. he cbets, whats ur action? what hands do u expect to have fold equity against here? just AK and AQ too on the JTx flop (how many villains do we think just call those pre)? is it worth getting them out here since if they show weakness we can take it later or they can improve to a 2nd best hand when we improve also and play for stacks?

no how about a rag flop with 2 of ur suit, what are u thinking then if u just call pre?

J,

I think your answer depends initially on stack sizes and then secondarily on player tendancies.

In NLHETandP, there is a thing called a "sklansky-chubukov" number that shows the max stack size you should open push with given blinds of 1 and 2 dollars.

The concept takes into consideration hand combination counts for the random hand that you'll face and measures your hands' equity against that random range against the blind money that you stand to gain.

While those numbers do not apply directly to this scenario, the thought process does - you just have to give your opponent a range that threebets against one of your button open-raises.

If you can carve out an acceptable range, then you can wieght your equity against each combination and weight it according to probability that villain has that hand. Then you measure it against the effective stack size to see if pushing is higher ev than folding. Pushing will not be higher ev than folding if villain only threebets with pocket pairs and always calls the push for instance.

If you've decided that pushing is +ev, you should then decide if calling would be higher ev than pushing. This could be the case if villain will only threebet pocket pairs and will always call a push, but will lay down to a shove on the flop if he misses a set with pairs lower than the high card on the board.

This could also be the case if villain will threebet lightly and then stack off when you both catch a pair.
