Wow, that hand got crazy in a hurry, even though UTG was the preflop raiser, at this level, he could basically have anything with his stack size, and the fact that he didn't just push after your raise, looks like a donkey. I really have to put MP on a better hand than yours though, he's played this hand very strange, maybe a poorly played set? I think your beat though. I probably would have checked the turn, expecting to fold to a big bet since they both cold called a huge check raise. This is a tough hand to play OOP with no reads.

I would have folded preflop and avoided all of this, actually , but anyway . . .

It is a tough hand, because although that flop isn't really one I'd be anxious to play TPTK for 150 BBs with in a mere 6 BB preflop pot, UTG's flop bet does nevertheless look weak as hell, and it appears MP either has a weak made hand or is drawing (unless he's slowlaying). So raising the flop seems reasonable, and then betting again on that blank turn looks like a good follow-up.

And then that river card truly sucks, and I know I'm almost surely beat but probably call anyway, because I'm getting like 7:2 and I'll probably start tilting if I fold the best hand in a pot this big.

first of all, calling a UTG raise from the blinds with AJo is not a good idea.

anyone confirm that this line would be better: lead flop, bet turn and check river?

i really think after you've shown that much strengh on flop with a c/r u should be letting the hand go, because your nearly allways beat.

Yip . I ended up folding the damn thing and nearly went on tilt when UTG showed AKo and MP1 flipped over his Q9.....
