I fear this is a fold. He called your raise in the cutoff when he tried to limp before, since most of the other players also called your raise he could call with a very wide range, especially with his stats. I think this isnt a spot you want to go broke in dont forget that the other villian still has to act behind you and if 1 of them has a 2 you are toast.

If that is what your friend told you then you can't trust his advice anymore. I am being serious(and coy). Do you see why?

Honestly, no.

I agree that villain has huge monster range on his initial bet. Hence, my r/r. I really think that, once he r/r/r, his range shrinks dramatically. The question is if it shrinks enough.

Threads, what am I missing?

I call, he's on a flush draw, then I puke when he gets there. But you made the right play. Overbets aren't usually the nutz from an over-aggro player like this. They usually slow down w/ big hands because they are afraid of not getting paid off.

I made a similar call last night w/ TPTK on a T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img],7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img],6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] board. It looked like a great spot for the villain to make a squeeze after the UTG player smooth-called my CB and I don't think that he would CRAI w/ a set there, or the made str8. Villain turned over 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img],6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Of course, the turn was an 8, and the river was an 8, I should be good for a while in the suckout department.

This is a insta call for me.

Villan has

AQ-AT or Flush draw. If he has a 2, NH but he doesn't have it enough of the time to make this a fold.
