Rakeback and pokertracker

I just got my first rakeback account at Absolute. I use pokertracker which tells me the rake ive paid. The amount at my rakeback site is significantly lower than whats on pokertracker. Ive emails the sites to address this.
Anyone use tracker and rakeback see any differences in the amounts???

Pokertracker is not going to be accurate for tracking your rake. It may give you a very inexact guesstimate but it could be off quite a bit. Pokertracker's purpose is not to track your rake.

The main problem is there are numerous ways online sites use to calculate the rake attributed to you. There is the dealt method, average contributed, and weighted contributed methods. These different methods vary quite a bit. I'm not going into detail describing the difference but RakeTheRake made a good post awhile back explaining the difference.

There are other things pokertracker can't take into account like bonus deductions and transaction fees but the main thing that you really can't adjust for is the way the sites calculate your rake.

Use pokertracker for what it was designed for. Namely to track your winnings and analyze your play. If you get rakeback from a reputable affiliate you are getting what you are supposed to. They are not going to screw you over a few bucks.

Not always the case. At Golden Riviera Poker the site itself had error calculating my rakeback. When I have complained that it is off at least $100 they apologized and has sent me exactly $100. So they never calculated that month correctly.
This made me wonder have they calculated rakeback well anytime? [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]
