Default Minneapolis: Places to Hang out and Eat

Going to get into Minneapolis this weekend on Friday night and I want to know of good places to eat, and good places to hang out. Not really a "club" type, but a nice bar with some live music would not be bad. Any suggestions would be great.

Ok, here is what I would suggest:

Sat is St. Paulapalooza in downtown St. Paul w/ music & beer all day starting around 2 until late night.

The cabooze is always fun and most bars down Cedar have live music on Fri nights. (Cabooze is off of cedar & 94)

Otherwise there are always clubs downtown, but it isn't really my thing.

For food I would suggest going somewhere in uptown. Figlio's is good, so is the Independent & Bar Abilene. There are a lot of places to eat near Calhoun Square.

Hope this helps.
