Re: 100NL- poorly played AK
I always take the flop to 3town...
As played, I raise the turn. I think you are ahead wayyy more than enough to get more value in a few spots this hand. |

Re: 100NL- poorly played AK
I don't mind the turn check-call personally. I think a lot of the time against a villain with these stats c-ring the turn serves to fold out a lot of worse hands from which we get value by leading the river, and also pretty much pot commits us against hands we're behind if he shoves.

Re: 100NL- poorly played AK
Really bad advice here.
C/r the turn big. You are way ahead of this action, and there is no way he's folding a draw. |

Re: 100NL- poorly played AK
Why do you think he never folds a draw to a big turn c-r?

Re: 100NL- poorly played AK

after he bets turn for $10, i like betting like 30 on river and folding to a raise. if he had bet larger i might be more inclined to check again. [/ QUOTE ] Pretty much what I was thinking. If you have an aggro image or have been seen bluffing missed draws you could bet larger on this river to rep busted clubs. But against an unknown I think betting 35 here is optimal. |
