[/ QUOTE ] another idea here is that the wolves choose a list of 3 people to kill n0 the mod will rand() with 33% weight to all 3. UNLESS the people are power villagers - then the mod will take those people out of the pool. (if there's 1 selected power role, then 50% weight to each other villager. etc.) |

i'm not a fan
a) someone doesn't get to play the game...that just plain sucks...so we should gain something decent in return b) village can't really figure out much info from who the wolves kill...at least n1+, they are looking at who can be the seer and then even after seer dies, they look at who is lynchable/unlynchable, who diff people are going after, how a death will implicate wolves or villagers, etc etc...n0 they just kill on a whim...maybe strongest player...maybe 2nd strongest player to cast suspicion on strongest...maybe new player to throw village off...maybe middle of the pack player...who knows |

how about this:
wolves get to kill one player straight up, no protection. that player, during n1, gets to send a pm to one player of his choice (any player, that player could be a wolf). that player gets to send one pm in response. no other communication would be allowed. after those two pms are exchanged, the killed player gets to make one vigilante kill on any player of his/her choice that night. |

Kills give the village information because they can analyze the role of the dead based on all previous discussion/action. Night 0 kills take away that very basic element of WW Also, if I'm a wolf I'm lobbying hard to rand() the night 0 kill. ducy, etc. |

I think that as long as there are seer peeks n0 day 1 is fruitful as is - seers have info, game moves forward a bit.
When there's no n0 peeks day 1 is a total snorefest. The n1 kills aren't so hot either in those games, quite frankly. I'd leave it alone as it's not adding enough for the player who signed up but didn't play. Maybe the player who gets killed n0 gets a revenge kill to use at some point? n1, maybe later depending on the game size? That way, they still get to play. Still want to n0 whack the best wolf-finders? |
