We get to see the shows here where I live like 3-5 years after they've been broadcasted in the US. So there must be many TV-series' that I've never heard of that are good. Please make suggestions.

It should be kinda fresh though.

I got through the first 6-7 episodes. Quit watching because it felt like I was watching 7th heaven. If anyone watched the whole season, tell me if it got better.

an interesting side note....

my teens have keyed into the fact that they can guage my additude about our current finacail state from the away messages. when it's "poker sucks. what a pointless way to spend my time", they dont ask me for anything. Don't get me wrong, they dont practice self sacrafice, they just know to ask wifey instead. If it changes to "I'ma golden god" withen 12 hours they will ask what I won, offer warm congrates and praise, and ask for something, generally having to do with clothes and malls.

How fast are you at watching TV. I ask because the new season of the Wire and LOST are coming out in January.
So I would try to finish those two before January.
If I had to pick one I would pick The Wire because it is slightly shorter and better, but LOST is more addictive and easier to pound through.

Lost, and it isn't close. Assuming you're going to start in Season 1 and play catch up. If you start w/ the upcoming season you'll have no idea what's going on. It's a show you have to start watching from episode 1.
