Default Cheating in a bar tournament

Just curious about people's opinion on this. Last night I went to see how my cousin was doing at a $100 Buyin tournament at a rathole bar. About 50/50 between old men and 19-24 yr old people.

A couple of his buddies were still in the tourney with about 10 people to go. Top 8 or so pay. Players have to deal.

The issue at hand was when I sat down to watch I noticed his one friend would peel to an Ace then shuffle, find the another Ace and then stack them 5 and 10 cards down.(The other friend was the person to the right who was supposed to cut and never did) I wasn't sure that I actually saw this until another player went all in and he auto-called with the 2 red aces. Somehow no one else saw any of this.

Since they were my cousin's friends, I was torn between calling him out on it or letting it slide, since they would have obviously kicked the [censored] out of them and my cousin possibly since he was associated with them. (Bar isn't in the nicest neighbourhood.)

Should I have said anything? I see the cheater in question quite often at other games and at the casinos.

Is this a serious question or did you just want to tell the story?

So tell your cousin you saw his friends cheating, and warn him that he'll get the crap beat out of him if they're caught.

I asked if it was a serious question because you said that if you spoke up your cousin would get the [censored] beat out of him. So you don't speak up. But take your cousin aside and let him know what's going on.

Eliminate the middleman and kick his ass yourself.
