Yeah, good thing presently we have an idiot as a president and enjoys starting wars and pursuing them when it is a losing battle. Also, it makes us Americans look good that we keep borrowing billions for a war that has no truth or reason behind it.

BAN BUSH!

What you fail to mention: Bush ran up the deficit at record numbers the prior years.

If you google "budget sim" the third choice is to the berkeley site that has a budget simulator. It also showed the National Debt, as a percentage of "gross national product" decreasing every year since WWII, except when Reagan and the two cowboys were in office.

For some reason, the website is no longer accessible.

So, even if Bush did decrease it, after increasing it for several years, he hasn't done anything that hasn't already been done, and those presidents did it without giving massive tax breaks to corps and the richest 10%.

There is no way in hell that I believe the United States as an organization has become more financially healthy in the past decade.

It could be included. Perhaps Bush has cut out everything so there is a surplus, but when you subtract the War and all his other [censored], you get this deficit.

[/ QUOTE ]

Very astute!! You go to the head of the class with Nielsio.

Face it dude you won't change your position nor I will change mine. Like I said when the Democrats take over and your paying big taxes for Hillarys socialist programs like universal health care we'll talk.
I might add you spend to much time on this forum get a life or maybe a job. I have both so.....

Good day

[/ QUOTE ]

Take a lot at the percentage of money spent on social programs, compared to national defense and interest on the debt. It pales in comparison. And don't count SSI, it runs a surplus.

You gotta realize though, the only reason Clinton had such a surplus was because the Republican House was fighting with him the whole time.

some people have such short memories.

The reason bill was able to get some head in the white house, is because he had veto'd the spending bill sent up to him by congress and they were on a skeleton crew.

Clinton refused to spend as much as Congress wanted to.

Now tell me the reason he refused to sign the spending bill was so he could get the intern alone in the white house.

Go ahead. Make my day.!
