I reached a critical point....
i become to tight because of the well choosen pressure of my opponets. i always run 21/14/4 till 5/10. significant number of hands.
At 5/10 -esp. 10/20 i did well untill a downsing. Within this DS something changed in my mind. I am not really scared of loosing a BI at 10/20, omg i made sometimes horrible calls for a BI. But i dont "play" with my money anymore. No retarted gambling but making pressure...i lost it and i do not push my edge with pairs/2pairs anymore. I lost my feeling how i stand in a hand(i guess one main reason are the very good opp. who pick up the right spots to attack me). Let me show you 2 hands where i can not tell you if they were ok/weak/good. vllian is a LAG, good one. Hand 2 pre..standard...flop plan c/r....turn lead or c/r river...because i misplayed the turn I HAVE TO BET here right? My BR is large enough to "learn" playing at 10/20 but this is not optimal. How should i proceed? go back to 3/6 rebuilding confidence, working on my game, hire a coach? or making the same at 5/10? Sure this a way to make it...and someone will answer MAYBE, but i am more interested in opinions of players who were in a similiar situation. |

Re: I reached a critical point....
Dont call preflop with suited hands like these IMO. You can occasinally but dont get in the habit of it.

Re: I reached a critical point....
id fold 1 pf vs a good lag. dont really like 2, id probably lead turn. i think your river bet can get you in a lot of trouble too.

Re: I reached a critical point....
Definite fist pump call with finger pointed towards sky in hand 2 if villian raises river as played.

Re: I reached a critical point....
Hi major,
Hand 1 is perfect--what more could you want? Pre-flop call is loose; I make it usually but it depends on how well you read/play the raiser, and how tight he is. Hand 2 is one of several good lines available. I like checking again on the turn because otherwise you lose action from all worse hands, and most Villains will bet a wide range there. These both seem well-played to me. |

Re: I reached a critical point....
In hand one I think pre is a fold for sure, don't like calling oop at all and really not w/ hands like this. Post flop is fine and if you're beat it's a cooler.
Hand two: I like a reraise pre with this hand (as I said, don't like calling oop) but I sometimes mix it up with a call and of course it depends on the player. As played... Flop: standard Turn: I would probably lead most of the times but if you think he's betting, c/r is better i think. He almost never has you beat but may very well be sitting on Ad or Kd. River: As played i think you have to bet for value and probably call a raise (again player-depending). |
