Re: WTF hand against unknowns
Yeah, I called without really thinking about it and he showed AA, then I got to thinking along the lines of FGators. Plugging a range into pokerstove puts things in perspective, though.

[ QUOTE ] My coach and I discussed spots like this a lot today and this is clearly a fold. At best you are chopping. [/ QUOTE ] you need a new coach edit: seriously this is such an easy call. I see Q8offsuit or 77-TT, wayy more often than QQ+ here. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: WTF hand against unknowns
my hand that i posted was from a small shot at 1/2. I haven't really seen this from someone w/ a full stack so I was just wondering if these types of plays occur frequently at 1/2 since the only time I see it at .5/1 is from shorter stacks. I actually had this happen to me again later in my session when I threebet AQs and folded. I'd really appreciate some HH's of people w/ full stacks making this type of play with weaker holdings. thanx.

Re: WTF hand against unknowns
The overwhelming majority of the time I see this BS it's just some donk fed up with getting raised and decides to shove A7 or a mid PP or something. The fact that he's been very loose thusfar only makes me trust my call more. I snapcall.

Re: WTF hand against unknowns
If he really is very loose then I've seen idiots do this with 66/KJ plenty of times.

Re: WTF hand against unknowns
The same thing happened in a cardrunners video. I don't remember who, but it was one of the main guys. (Stinger maybe?) Anyway, UTG bet, SB called, Hero 3bet from the BB. I don't remember if UTG called or not, but SB pushed. Hero thought for a long time and finally folded QQ. Villain showed KK. I thought it was a great laydown and I don't know if I could have made it, but I think I can now after watching that video.

A small stakes player is probably more likely to play AA/KK like that. High stakes players are more likely to 3bet it. |

Re: WTF hand against unknowns
exactly the opposite, good HS players are more likely to be inducing a squeeze than unknowns at SSNL
