He doesnt deserve a spot because the midfield should be: Downing/Cole on lef, Hargreaves and Gerard in centre, Beckham or Lennon on right. The only two people id never replace there is Hargreaves and Gerard. I just wouldnt play Lampard if i were England manager.

[/ QUOTE ] I turned 18 during 2002, so obviously was blind drunk all the time during the tourney. He is indeed a force to be reckoned with. We need Hargreaves more as a holding midfielder. So either he gets dropped or he switches position. Or we do something stupid like normal and play one up front or 3 at the back or something like that.
