I value bet both flop and turn, or if I check I c/c and if checked I bet the river

richjoyce,

I bet out on an A high flop because players play Ax a lot more than they play Kx. I find by checking A high flop an calling, or betting 2 streets i'll find myself getting called or calling against Ax far more often than an 88 type of hand. When I check on a K high flop I can call a bet, or bet subsequent streets and get paid off by worse hands more often than i'll run into Kx. Right or wrongly on an Ace high flop I'm b/f underpairs quite often.

Why would you bet this flop? Your not folding a K, so check to get some value from 88 and alike.

[/ QUOTE ]
Because I'm c-betting this flop 100% of the time when I miss, so I have to also bet it when I have something.

Well, don't tell yourself that you have to do something cos you do it all the time. In fact, don't do nothing all the time. Be more flexible.

I think betting this flop is completely fine and probably best against this opponent. I definitely check the turn to induce a bluff though.

I find the idea of not betting this flop bizarre. You are going to get just as much value from lower pps by betting as by checking, and you want to charge overcards/A4/A2 to draw as well. You are setting yourself up for quite a rough ride if you c/c this flop imo.

i agree with not betting this flop vs a 20/15 tag or whatever. but this guy is prob calling anything that moves your losing value not cbetting here.
