Default What type of bread

All,

Not to derail or hijack, however...

What bread do you people like to use for your peanut butter and jelly/honey sandwiches?

I prefer Honey Nut Oat bread.

Ugh... shudder... no, go with Adams if you want the non Jiff/Skippy [censored].

Is there really much difference? I've never tried TJ's, I buy Adams. Back east I got something with a teddy bear on it. I mean, it's just crushed peanuts and salt. I'm just curious about what's so different.

I thought everyone stopped eating PB&J at about age 6.

[/ QUOTE ]

Lots of people did, but I don't see why they did. PB&J is damn good eats and it's so easy to make. It's a great breakfast to get me going in the morning. And really, if you go all organic like me, it's healthier than most of the stuff adults eat for breakfast.

[/ QUOTE ]

I mostly agree with you, but what sort of PB you eating? Skippy/Jif/etc isn't all that healthy, and PB in general is big in calories.

But yeah, I'll definitely take a slice of bread, throw some PB on there, fold, and have a great filling snack. No hate on the PB&Js.

Jelly is there to moisten the sandwich a little. Peanut butter provides the nutritional punch.

If you want to eat jelly, have toast

Details, please? As compared to other peanut butters, are you talking about preservatives?

Why do so many people equate "calories" with bad? Anorexia a fun hobby? Fatigue a fun afternoon plan?

LL, The peanut butters listed there have lots of sugar added and are much worse then the all natural kinds. Unfortunately the natural ones taste much worse.

If you're eating PB with Jelly, sugar prob isn't really a concern for the sando.

I would hardly call the peanut butter that most people are using "nutritional."
