Default Run a very secure internet server, possible?

I want to run a very secure internet server. Here is what I want in detail:

-I want to have a computer that can receive data from other computers on the internet if they have the right password to login

-If a computer does not have the right password, then I don't want it to find out anything about anything: anything about the other clients, anything about the data on the server

-I want this to be easy to setup.

Is this possible? Do you know how it is done?

I don't know anything about these things. So any information is helpful!

Yes. Pretty much. I want a computer that is on 24/7 to be a server that I can send and store files to when I want.

'very secure' and 'easy to setup' often do not coincide.

OK. Very secure is more important. See I didn't even know for sure an FTP server was what I wanted. But I want to learn. Is there any more keyword I should use if I'm looking for a secure FTP server in particular? FileZilla?

if security is really important, dont use windows for the server.

Thanks for all that information! I'm sorry to say that all of that is way over my head and I can't put the time in to learn about it.

Would a good solution be to go with getting an account with a commercial server provider company that has a good name for honesty? If you think that would be a good solution, please ge me a couple of recommendations. Thank you very much!
