ps..but your right its a tricky spot to be in. plus a added thought - if the villian has a smaller underpair he is more likely to get it in with a smooth call and a push on a blank then he is with a push on his check raise (he has to put you on a huge hand then). and u also give him a chance to bluff or semi bluff with only one to come.
